Wedding Ceremonies

Your wedding day signifies your love and commitment to one another. It is one of the most memorable days of your life! We need to get it right…the first time. Remember, this is the most important part of your entire day, as this makes it all legal!

Everyone’s wedding day should be as individual as the 2 people themselves. I personalise every ceremony, so no two weddings are ever the same! If required, I can help you chose the perfect location. In the countryside, a vineyard, a local park, the beach, a mountain top! Remember it’s your day, your way.

My fee of $770 (incl GST) includes:

  • Preparation and lodgement of legal documents
  • Unlimited meetings and contact (not restricted to office hours!)
  • Personalised ceremony
  • PA system with microphone and ceremony music
  • Presentation certificate
  • Ribbon bound booklet of ceremony to keep
  • Rehearsal if required, at mutual convenience
  • Unlimited advice

$250 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date within 14 days. Balance of payment is due 30 days prior to the wedding day. Interval payments are welcomed.

So here are the important details, as we are performing a legal ceremony here! There are a few legal words we need to say, and these can’t be changed. But don’t worry, it’s the love you are declaring to each other that is truly important. There is also some paperwork to be completed at different intervals. Mostly importantly, you need to have at least one months’ notice to be married, and this is not negotiable.

Once you have decided to use my services, we need to complete a Notice of Intended Marriage. For this, I will need some specific documentation.

  • Original birth certificate or current passport (no copies)
  • Drivers licence or 18+ Card
  • If previously married, either divorce letter from court, or death certificate
  • If still using a name from previous marriage, previous marriage certificate

There may be circumstances when I will need to write communication for government bodies regarding partner visas. This is included as part of my services, but please understand that I am not allowed, or qualified, to give you legal advice.

We will meet again before the big day to complete a 2nd important document, and then of course on your wedding day, you will sign your marriage documents, along with your 2 witnesses. These witnesses must be 18 years or older.

So, are you ready to start organising your special day?

Marriage Equality

On the 9th December 2017, same-sex marriage became legal in Australia.  Sex or gender no longer affects people's right to marry.  I am very proud to be able to join any two people in the sanctity of marriage.
